I’m Michael. Designer, collaborator and digital native.
Currently I am in my second year studying Graphic Design at the Arts University Bournemouth. Recently I have started to develop skills in motion graphics, learning After Effects and experimenting with narrative. I also enjoy creating physical prints, have just hand coded this website in HTML and have refined my skills in type and layout using InDesign over the last year.
I enjoy a challenge and had the opportunity to collaborate on a brief set by the Walker Agency for their client, Pukka Pie. My team’s concept was to create a campaign that got customers engaging with the product in a playful manner. The creative director commended our original approach. Subsequently I created a printed, perfect bound book that communicated my design process of the project in just six days.
I have been lucky enough to have some industry design experience, primarily creating designs for a men’s grooming brand, Duke and Hyde. This has included everything from the product labels to the packaging to motion graphics for social media. I have also undertaken work experience in Copenhagen. The experience in Denmark taught me a lot about how different countries approach and embrace design.
I was born in Israel and I’m fluent in Hebrew. I believe my experiences help me bring a unique and fresh perspective. I am always interested in gaining further industry experience and I am looking for an internship over the summer. Ideally, I would like to work in a busy design studio or creative agency. I feel I can offer a lot in terms of creativity. I am a self-starter, keen to learn new things, enjoy collaboration, have good ideation skills and can use key Adobe software as well as 3D software, Blender and Dimensions. I would love to share more of my work in person, so please get in touch!
